In Malmö, we offer comfortable and safe student housing in the Kryddgården area. Malmö University and the city center are only a short bike ride away. If you wish to travel by public transport, there are excellent bus connections that take you to the university, the beach, shopping and entertainment.
And for those of you studying in Lund, it only takes 10 minutes by train from Malmö central station!
We at Heimstaden offer student apartments, studios that are 21-33 square meters in size, with their own kitchen and bathroom. And guess what – you only pay rent for 10 months a year!

Apply for student housing – step by step guide
Step 1
Register
In order to be able to register an interest in a vacant student accommodation, you need to register. You can do this for free and easily here!
All our available housing is continuously published on our website and you can register your interest in up to five student housing.
Requirements to meet
To live in our student housing, you must be 18 years of age and be actively studying for at least 15 higher education credits per semester at a university or college. It is fine to apply for student accommodation even if you have not yet been accepted. In connection with being offered student housing, you need to certify that you are studying, for example with a registration notice, admission notice or a study certificate. Please read our rental policy for students.
Step 2
Sign in
Once your account is created, you simply log in using BankID or your social security number and password. If you have forgotten your password, you can simply click on ”Forgot password” and a reset code will be sent via SMS to your phone.
Don’t forget to keep your account active
To be considered an active applicant on My pages, you need to log in at least every six months. If you do not log in for six months, your applicant account with us will be deleted.
