What happens after I have moved out and signed the final settlement?
After completing the move-out inspection with a representative from Heimstaden, you will receive a receipt with an overview of the points checked during the move-out. The final settlement form is signed and returned to us, and the responsible department will send you a copy of the final settlement.
Provided there are no outstanding amounts or claims, the deposit will be paid to the account number you have provided in the final settlement form.
Final settlement with claims
In cases where there is an outstanding claim, this will be deducted from the deposit amount or charged to the tenant and possibly the company providing the guarantee. The remaining amount of the deposit will be paid to the tenant.
This is usually done within 14 days from the date the form is registered. If the claim is paid within the first 14 days, Heimstaden will not claim the amount from the guarantor. However, if the deadline is not met, the guarantor will pay the amount directly to Heimstaden and later claim it from the tenant again.
